ENLINK MIDSTREAM PLANS NEW PROCESSING PLANT AND EXPANSION OF NGL PIPELINE

By TONI ELLINGTON

EnLink Midstream Partners, LP and EnLink Midstream LLC (“EnLink”), in a joint venture partnership with Marathon Petroleum Corp., announced a plan to build a 30-mile natural gas liquid or “NGL” pipeline extension to Marathon’s Garyville, Louisiana refinery.   EnLink also announced plans to expand its natural gas gathering and processing in the Permian basin by building a new processing plant near its existing midstream assets.  The plant will accommodate production from Devon Energy Corporation and Crosstex Energy LP.

EnLink expects the plant to be operational sometime after June 2015.  The pipeline expansion is expected to be completed by the first half of 2017.

The Permian basin is located in west Texas and New Mexico.  EnLink Midstream Partners, LP was formed by combining the assets of Crosstex Energy LP and Crosstex Energy, Inc. with most of the midstream assets of Devon Energy Corporation.  Devon Energy Corporation is an Oklahoma-based oil and gas company. Crosstex is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
